In 2007,  the World Wide media listed  Haina, Dominican Republic as the 3rd worst polluted place in the world. Everyday the children of Haina are forced to play and live in toxic Lead dust. The harm to the children of this exposure to high levels of Lead in their environment is major lifetime learning disabilities, permanent neurological damage, behavior problems, and never hoping to achieve their full learning potentials.

UN affiliated organization tested the soil in Haina, DR and found Standard Lead in soil levels –anything over 400 ppm is health problem . Haina site found 439,000 ppm-- Parts of toxic site had 86% pure Lead in soil.
